The term "sugar" can refer to many different molecules.

Simple sugars have the formula Cn(H2O)n .

To be able to answer your question you need to know at least how many carbon, hydrogen, or oxygen atoms are in your sugar molecule or the name of the sugar molecule. So, if you had 6 carbon atoms in your simple sugar you would have the formula C6H12O6.

Note that this is the the molecular formula for Glucose & Fructose, where the two sugars have different structures (Glucose is a aldohexose, and Fructose is a ketohexose).

Table sugar (sucrose) contains 12 atoms of carbon (C), 22 atoms of hydrogen (H) and 11 atoms of oxygen (O) for each molecule. So, the number of molecules in sugar will depend on the weight of sugar you have. The more the weight, the more molecules. But in one molecule of sugar there are 45 atoms.
