Using the periodic table we can find the molecular weight of H3PO4:

for hydrogen: 3*1.01 g/mol = 3.03

for phosphorus: 1*30.97 g/mol = 30.97

for oxygen: 4*16.00 g/mol = 64.00

Adding these all up you get 98.0 g/mol

Now divide the mass of 37.1 g by the molecular weight of 98 g/mol to get the number of moles. In this case: 0.38 moles of H3PO4
