266 - see related Wikipedia link.

there have been alot.

With the 162 game schedule and 30 teams in the Major Leagues, there are 2,430 games played per year in the regular season. Since expanding to 30 teams in 1999 through the 2010 season, there have been 26,730 regular season games played. Just taking this number of games alone and doing the math, you see that although 266 seems like a high number of no-no's, it is really very small when you think about it and it is a very significant feat. I am just sampling the past 11 seasons alone...

In 1917, Babe Ruth and Ernie Shore of the Boston Red Sox combined on a no hitter. Ruth pitched to the first batter of the game and allowed a walk. He then began arguing with the umpire and was ejected from the game. Shore came in and proceeded to pick the runner off of first base and then retired the following 26 batters in a row. The Red Sox defeated the Washington Nationals 4-0. In 1967, Steve Barber and Stu Miller of the Baltimore Orioles combined to no hit the Detroit Tigers. The Orioles lost that game 2-1. In 1975, Vida Blue, Glenn Abbott, Paul Lindblad, and Rollie Fingers of the Oakland Athletics combined to no hit the California Angels, winning 5-0. In 1976, John Odom and Francisco Barrios of the Chicago White Sox combined to no hit the Oakland Athletics, winning 2-1. In 1990, Mark Langston and Mike Witt of the California Angels combined to no hit the Seattle Mariners 1-0. In 1991, Bob Milacki, Mike Flanagan, Mark Williamson, and Gregg Olson of the Baltimore Orioles combined to no hit the Oakland Athletics, winning 2-0. In 1991, Kent Mercker, Mark Wohlers, and Alejandro Pena of the Atlanta Braves combined to no hit the San Diego Padres, winning 1-0. In 2003, Roy Oswalt, Peter Munro, Kirk Saarloos, Brad Lidge, Octavio Dotel, and Billy Wagner of the Houston Astros combined to no hit the New York Yankees, winning 8-0. In 2014, Cole Hamels, Jake Diekman, Ken Giles, and Jonathan Papelbon of the Philadelphia Phillies combined to no hit the Atlanta Braves, winning 7-0.

There have been 20 perfect games in the MLB, including Dallas Braden's (OAK) and Roy Halladay's (PHI) perfect games in May 2010. This was the first time in Major League Baseball that two perfect games were pitched in a single season.

There have been 266 no-hitters since 1875. There have also been 9 combined no hitters, where multiple pitchers keep a no-hitter. Nolan Ryan holds the record for most career no-hitters at 7.
