1st- Get an estimate of how much people are eating ( I would that the average person would not eat more than maybe less than less than 1/4 of a head of lettuce.)
2nd- After you guess (or estimate) how much each person will eat, find the average (add all of the numbers up and then divide by how many numbers there are)
3rd- multiply that answer by 125 (the whole number will be how many heads of lettuce you need then the fraction (if any) will be out of a whole head of lettuce (i would simplify that)
4th- if there is a fraction then i would round it to the nearest whole number (I would round up to make sure that there is enough food for everybody.
rule of thumb is at minimum one ounce per person
As a starter, you need about 60 pounds of salad
I would guess about 30 kgs. as 1 kg serves 4.
Assuming they are having a full meal after, you should serve 4 ounces of salad. If the salad, ie a Greek Salad, IS the meal, then about 8-10 ounces.
you need 230lbs
70.000
8 people
how many pounds of potato salad do I need to feed 100 people
You need 12 lbs of mixed lettuce and about 1 gallon of dressing(more if creamy).
I would make 12 pounds
I would make 40 pounds.
The amount of green salad you need to feed 45 people depends on how large a serving you want for each person. If you want to provide each person with one cup of salad, you'll need 45 cups of finished salad to feed them all. If you want to give them bigger salads, 1.5 cups each, you'll need 67.5 cups of salad.
The normal serving of potato salad should be around 4 ounces. 1 pound would feed 4 people, so you would need 33 and 3/4 pounds to feed 135 people.
about 16 people. If they are big eaters, 12 people.
The average serving size is 4 ounces. Five pounds = 80 ounces / 4 = 20
If you are making a sandwich out of it, it is 130 tablespoons.
no, you need lots more then ten pounds
if it's only lettuce, then 35 heads ish. could be less. depends on the lettuce, what you're making and how hungery the people are.
