AnswerIt varies quite a bit depending on demand. Production can range from 1 or 2 billion to as many as 14 billion. AnswerEach year the US Mint produces a different number of cents. It is necessary to know which year you are asking about before an exact answer can be given.

I don't uderstand you question. If you are refering to how many pennies the US has made i don't think that there is a way to figure that out due to the fact that no one knows how many pennies were made each year in the mints early years.

For a specific answer, you need to ask about a specific year.

6,000,000,000 pennies equals $60,000,000 (sixty million dollars). 6 billion is about half of the total number of pennies made each year - 13,000,000,000 - so you are unlikely to see that many at once.

Pennies are made of zinc and other alloys with a copper coating, pennies made before 1964(or around this year) they were made of just copper. What you see on a penny is not rust but corrosion of the copper coating.

please narrow this question down as each mint produces variours numbers of pennies and the number as a whole can fluxuate based on state/countries needs. also be advised while USA has moved from pennies a while back (i think) other countries such as Australia have only relativly recently moved away from pennies so there figures may be higher. especially since Australia has 2 offical mints for coin processing country wide
