As of August 2014, cancer kills one in four people in the United States. That amounts to 1,500 people being diagnosed per day. This means that over 350,000 people have been affected by cancer so far in 2014.
Considering I am a cancer patient, there is at least one too many cancer patients. I am fortunate the treatment regimens I follow keep my lymphoma under control so when the number of cancer survivors is totaled I will be among those numbers too. Much better to be a cancer Survivor side than a cancer statistic.
