There are 279 members in all, but only 196 players, 35 league players and pioneers, 23 executives and pioneers, 17 managers, and 8 umpires. The latest member of the hall of fame is the manger Tony Larusso. He was manager for the St. Louis Cardinals. He retired in at the end of the 2011.

of the 20 pitcher who have thrown perfect games only 4 have made the hall of fame, but keep in mind that 6 are either active players or not yet HOF eligible (though Dallas Braden is very unlikely and Kenny Rogers is also a stretch)

Randy Johnson is a future hall of famer.

Maybe Halladay if he finishes his career strong.

Cy Young

Sandy Koufax

Through games played on June 14, 2012 there have been 22 perfect games in MLB and 6 of those pitchers are in the Hall of Fame:

1) John Montgomery Ward - threw a perfect game for the Providence Grays against the Buffalo Bisons in 1880 and was elected to the HoF in 1964.

2) Cy Young - threw a perfect game for the Boston Americans against the Philadelphia Athletics in 1904 and was elected to the HoF in 1937.

3) Addie Joss - threw a perfect game for the Cleveland Naps against the Chicago White Sox in 1908 and was elected to the HoF in 1978.

4) Jim Bunning - threw a perfect game for the Philadelphia Phillies against the New York Mets in 1964 and was elected to the HoF in 1996.

5) Sandy Koufax - threw a perfect game for the Los Angeles Dodgers against the Chicago Cubs in 1965 and was elected to the HoF in 1972.

6) Jim 'Catfish' Hunter - threw a perfect game for the Oakland Athletics against the Minnesota Twins in 1968 and was elected to the HoF in 1987.

Randy Johnson threw a perfect game for the Arizona Diamondbacks against the Atlanta Braves in 2004. He will be eligible for election to the HoF in 2015 and certainly will be a first ballot electee.

There are 30 teams in MLB and each team carries 11 or 12 pitchers. That would make between 330-360 pitchers on active rosters in MLB.
