How many people make a religion?

For a religion to exist there must be at the very least two people involved. Religions usually have a founder and a body of people who believe the articles of faith as set down by the founder. With reference to Christianity, Jesus said to His apostles (Matthew 18:20) "Wherever two or three of you are gathered in My name, there am I also". If you require a more mundane dictionary meaning, religion is described as a shared practice (which means more than one person is required). Those involved in any religion may perform private acts of faith and participate in group rituals but both are, by necessity, devoted to the communal belief system.

also it is possible not to have any followers but to still have your personal religion in the sense of your personal beliefs practices etc

indeed of the 6 definitions for religion commonly found in dictionaries today the primary one & 3 others refer only to the set of beliefs & life practices etc of religion

while 2 subordinate definitions do refer to a body of persons in agreement about such beliefs

so

notwithstanding bold type & categorical language & an imperious tone of voice

religion can very well not be at all collective

but can be entirely individual in many if not most cases

Because they want to have faith, when a person feels sad they want help from God creator of all things.....many are called but few are chosen.
