This is very hard to answer. Not all gay people are part of the gay community, and there are people who are not gay who include themselves in the gay community. Going by the Kinsey numbers, it seems that about ten percent would be, though people on both sides of the issue report widely different figures. Some anti-gay types will say about 2%, and some pro-gay types will give figures of 20% or higher.
