No one survived without a lifeboat on the Titanic. The ship was hit at about 11:40 PM and the first lifeboat was launched at 12:40 AM, about an hour later. The last lifeboat was launched at about 2:05 AM; the ship sank beneath the surface at 2:20 AM.
The RMS Carpathia arrived and began rescuing survivors at 4:10 AM. This time line is important because it shows that the absolute minimum time a person would need to survive without a lifeboat was one hour and fifty minutes. The air temperature that night, in that location was right around freezing and the water temperature was frigid.
When the ship sank out of sight, hundreds of people who had been on the deck floated off the deck into the water in pitch darkness. I once saw an interview with a Titanic Survivor in a documentary. She said that some years afterwards, she lived a couple of blocks from Wrigley Field in Chicago. She said that it was so distressing because when the crowd roared to a great play on the field, it sounded too much like the sound of the victims as they hit the water that night. It's is reported that none of the occupied lifeboats would go near for fear of their boat being swamped by desperate people; they said that the cries of these desperate lasted about ten, no more than twenty minutes. Ten people were reported to have been pulled from the water after this point, but several of them died on the Carpathia, unable to recover from the effects of exposure. Another group managed to climb atop an overturned inflatable lifeboat, but even some of these died of exposure before the Carpathia arrived.

The titanic did not float because it was only able to float if 4 or less water compartments flooded instead more did and it was to much for the titanic to hold and sadly many people died.
