Jigsaw, the villain in the Saw Movies, dislikes the fact that many people waste their lives and so gives them a chance to see the errors of how they live.

By giving them a choice to change their ways or die, he hopes that they will stop wasting themselves and change for the better.

because jigsaw (made by the man in the pig mask) kidnaps the people who wastes there lives and only care about them selves for example if you have watched saw (any number) you will see that sometimes the people that get kidnapped don't save the people in the traps and the people in the traps die and if your saying "yes but they have to really really get hurt if they try to save them" then that shows that they only care about them selves not getting hurt they don't think about the people who are going to die.

He takes people who screwed up their lives or the lives of others and puts them in the traps, however he doesn't actually "kill" anyone persay, he gives people the chance to escape the traps, but it will take a great, usally paimful sacrifice to do so
