Canada, many French speaking individuals live in Quebec The province of Quebec is a French-speaking province, but the other provinces are English-speaking. Quebec is a large province, and there are dialects of French there just as there are dialects of English in the US. The standard French of Quebec probably doesn't differ from its European parent tongue any more than US English differs from the language of the United Kingdom. In fact, there is a possibility that Canadian French may be more like Continental French of the 18th century than modern Continental French.
