Now that's a hard one to nail down! Since no one group monitors internet usage, many different organizations make educated guesses. If we narrow your question down to daily Internet users in the United States, I can find a number for you. The Pew internet and American Life Project conducted a study in December 2005 that tracked what Americans do online daily. About 94 million Americans log on to the internet every day. Can you guess what the top three activities were? Aside from general Internet use, 52% of users sent e-mail, 41% used a search engine, and 30% looked at the news online.
