Since trees are different sizes, it would be difficult to say how much paper comes from one tree. According to one paper manufacturer, however, a cord of wood measuring 4 feet by 4 feet by 8 feet-or 128 cubic feet-produces nearly 90,000 sheets of bond-quality paper or 2,700 copies of a 35-page newspaper.

Yes, The raw material for the manufacture of paper is cellulose fibre, which is obtained from trees, recovered paper and annual vegetable fibres like cereal straws. Kaolin, starch and other products are used as auxiliary materials in the paper production process.

First, semi trucks or trains bring in logs or wood chips to the paper mil. Then the wood is pull into what is called a pulverizer. There are certain chemicals and dies and starch that are added in. Then from the pulverizer, you have what is called the wet end. The wet end presses and make what looks like paper. then the paper goes to what is called the dry end. The paper goes thru dryers. The paper is the spun onto huge spools in the winder and you have whats called a winder operator. The entire machine that performs the wet and dry process is about the size of three football fields. The spools of paper are then removed by clamp trucks. The spools then go to what is called converting. Converting takes the spools and the paper is then cut into its order specs. The spools are then taken back to the paper machine and reused again and again. Sometimes the paper will break as you feed it to the machine. This is called haying out. Then entire machine is shutdown and the problem has to be fixed. This is just a general overview of how paper is made. It is not as easy as it sounds. It is a very physical job it you work on a paper machine.

Cellulose, is the cell walls of Plants.

to make Cellulose trees are ground up into sawdust, then that is put into a digester which breaks down the cell of the wood, what is left is cellulose

cellulose can come from many sources not just trees. Hemp for example makes a superior paper to tree pulp

Paper is made by cutting a tree into slices and mixing all the slices into goo and rolling out the slices into paper-ish things that look like paper but they are only damp, you rolled all the goo so tight the water came out, and then drying it.

Yes it does. The trees are chopped, ground and cooked to release the fibers. Then the fibers are reassembled as sheets of paper.

What can you make from elephant poo?

Despite the vast quantities of food that they shove in their mouths, an elephant digests only about 45% of what it consumes. As elephants are herbivores with highly fibrous diets, much of the undigested material passes straight through them as intact fibres. And this is why their excrement can easily be made in to paper products. Today our paper is most commonly made with wood fibre pulp, but a similar pulp can be derived from the fibres in elephant dung. The average elephant excretes enough to produce 115 sheets of paper each day.
