If you use a liquid measuring cup you will get 8 cups per 4 pounds of granulated sugar or 2 cups per pound. If you use a dry measuring cup (which you should be using) you will get 10 cups per 4 lbs of sugar or 2.5 cups per pound.

To say my estimate, I would say 6,000 gallons or more of water can fill up a whole swimming pool. I have an underground pool myself, and I've seen that It takes a pretty long time to get filled with the hose. I also believe it depends on how big the pool is. Ex. Small: 2,000 gal. Small: 2,000. Medium: 3,000. Large: 6,000. I have a large pool. Extra Answer: How many bathtubs can fill an underground pool? I would say about...well, how big is your bathtub? It would take about 7 gallons to fill a small tub, 10 to fill a medium, and a large would be 15. So, depends on size. Large would be 1,000 bathtubs, medium would be 900, and small would be about 800. Thanks for listening to me! To know I answered, look for Extra Answers under the regular ones. Thanks again!
Propane burns 91,547 b.t.u.'s an hour per gallon of propane. Depending on the b.t.u. output of the appliance you are running you should be able to calculate how many hours you can use your tank.
Suburban propane offers sales and rental services for propane tanks. you can fill your tank or buy a tank. they also will come to your home and fill the tank for your house.
You light a flame at the holes in the bottom of the glass part with the propane on, the glass will fill with propane and catch fire.
As a rule, your propane tank will hold 80% of its designated capacity, therefore, a 500 gallon tank would hold 400 gallons. However, the 80% rule is based on expansion and contraction due to temperature. Propane expands in warmer weather. In cold temperatures you can fill to over 90% capacity (450+ gallons) but you should plan on using a portion of that propane before the weather turns warm or pressure could build as temperatures rise, thereby opening the pressure relief valve and releasing gaseous gold into the atmosphere! The hazard could be worse than the expense. Note: Some tanks are rated in pounds vs gallons. A 100 pound tank would hold just under 25 gallons.
That depends on what substance you fill those cubic feet with. -- If you fill them with air, they can't hold even one pound. -- If you fill them with water, they can hold almost 219 pounds. -- If you fill them with concrete, gold, or stones, they can hold even more pounds.
that would be about 10 pounds
20 bags. 16 oz are in a pound. 10 X 16 = 160 160/8 = 20
$2,125 1000 x $2.5 = $2,500 $2,500 x 85% = $2,125
Usually your local auto store that sells propane, or similar propane shop, should sell individual tanks ranging from the smaller 5 pound to the larger 7 pound tank. Some may even sell 10 to 50 pound tanks.
No. Forklift LPG tanks have a dip tube to draw off liquid. Propane engines feed off of propane liquid, and turn them into gasses through an internal engine component. While your traditional propane BBQ grill will feed off of vapors from the propane. Of course if you could change the valves this would be somewhat fixed, though you will be hard pressed to find a propane dealer to fill it. But the correct safety equipment would be in place to fill it (i.e. Fixed Liquid Level gauge). Replacing the valve and keeping the cylinder the upright position would allow you to use it, but by then it is basically going to cost you more than it's worth.
Yes. Purchase an adapter for your propane tank and fill her up.
Liquid PropaneThere will be a TW on the side of the cylinder this is the tare weight the weight of the cylinder empty. (TW 18.5) would be an 18.5 pound empty cylinder. A full cylinder will weigh 20 pounds more than the tare weight. Even with an OPD valve a 20 pound cylinder will still hold 20 pounds 95% of the time. If you exchange your tank they are only putting 15-18 pounds of propane in a cylinder that was designed to hold 20 pounds. If you have your cylinder refilled make sure they weigh it on a scale as they fill it and put twenty pounds in it the OPD SHOULD STOP THE PUMP AT THE SAME TIME THE SCALE TIPS.(The weight of th filling valve must be added usually 4-5 pounds). Also propane is stored in the tank as a liquid you use the vapor from the top of tank in your grill. As the vapor pressure lowers the liquid will boil into vapor when the vapor pressure is gone the cylinder is completely empty.A 20-pound tank contains about 4.1 gallons of LP, which weighs about 17 pounds. (LP has a specific gravity -- at 25 degrees C -- about half that of water.) The next time I run my tank empty, I'll weigh it. But I would be willing to bet it weighs about four pounds.
