Four would be a normal size litter, They don't have huge litters. But can have 5 or 6 but 4 would be a good size litter. The smaller the litter the better condition the Dam will be in..

A correction to my previous answer to this question. Georgia O'Keeffe had a black standard poodle named Pancho from Nov 1951 until 1953 when he was struck and killed by a car. In December 1953 she was gifted two blue chow puppies which she named Bo and Chia.
