More than likely 5 quarts but possibly 4.5 quarts. Of course your owner's manual lists the amount. But if you don't have one then drain the oil, change the filter, pour in 4 quarts, start the engine and run for 2 minutes, shut it off, and let sit for 15 minutes. Check the level and add until full. You now know what it holds.

for any small block, (305 or 350 in that truck) it's 5 quarts. for the 6 cylinder it's probably pretty close to that.

remember to check the level after running for a few seconds to fill the oil filter

4.5 for the 6cyl 3l

5 quarts for the 6cy 4l HO motor
