My Contour didnt have a transmission filter. It was just one of those inline things that needed to be back flushed.
Fluid needed after filter change is normally about five quarts.

If you just need to change the fluid, all you need is a metric socket set. There is one bolt under the pan that you loosen, the fluid will drain from there. If you plan to change the transmission filter, you need to remove the pans (it has about 20 bolts that you need to loosen), then 4-6 bolts holding the filter, you need to remove them. Before doing that, you need the following parts: Transmission filter Transmission gasket Regards, Brian
The amount of transmission fluid that is needed after a filter change in a minivan will vary depending on the model and type of van. Usually, one can add three quarts, then start the van and check the levels to see if more is needed. Sometimes it can take up to 5 quarts to get the levels where they should be.
When just doing a filter and gasket change, the quantity needed is about 5 quarts. It is important not to use any fluid other than the OEM ATF when just doing a filter change.

The F service on a Mercedes E350 includes a few different things. The main thing it includes is an oil change and filter change. It can also include fluid fills, transmission check, and other filter changes if needed.
To change the transmission fluid, jack up your SUV to have enough room to get under the vehicle comfortably and safely. Find the transmission and have a drain pan under it. Remove the drain plug and allow fluid to drain. Remove all of the bolts and lower the transmission pan. Remove the transmission filter and replace if needed.
