There is no counting of them that this contributor is aware of, but the Gauls and the Carthaginians gave Rome the most resistance. The Romans also killed many Germans and other "barbarians" in border fights over a period of several centuries, to say nothing of Greeks, Macedonians, Samnites, Iberians, Africans, and others killed in war.

235 and 398 there would have been around 600,000 to 1,000,000 casualties. That is just my guess but it is broad enough to be right.

The Battle of Mursa(351) had 55,000 casualties alone.

There were many more civil wars of course which would put the total death toll in the millions.
