How many sachets of cat food should a 8 month cat eat?

There is no correct answer for this, as how much a kitten eats can depend on several factors: The kitten's size, activity level, appetite and the quality of food being fed. A cat's food is also a huge factor in how much it eats: A cat will eat far more if fed a lower quality food to get the nutrition it needs, and will eat much less if fed a premium quality food that has a high meat content and no grains. Kittens on growth spurts also tend to eat much more also.

Depending on the food, and whether you feed pouched food on its own or with other foods, an eight month kitten can eat as little as two pouches and as much as four or five. Even at this age, kittens are still growing and need all the nutrients they need, so it is advised to feed as much as it wants until it reaches a year old. Be sure to feed small but frequent meals, especially for younger kittens as they have small stomachs.

From personal experience, when my cat was eight months old, he usually ate three or four 100g pouches. The particular brand is above average, with a declared 60% meat content. As he neared a year old, the amount of food was slowly reduced as his appetite naturally decreased, and settled on 200g food per day. He is an "average" 4kg cat.
