There were a total of 13 ships in the 2 Navies of the Republic of Texas (First Texas Navy and Second Texas Navy) between 1837 and 1845:

The First Texas Navy (1837-1838): Schooners Liberty, Brutus, Invincible, and Independence.

The Second Texas Navy (1838-1845): Schooners San Jacinto, San Antonio, San Bernard, and Louisville (used as a Tender).

Steamship-of-War Zavala; ex-Merchant Brig Potomac; Brigs Wharton and Archer; Sloop-of-War Austin.

When the Republic of Texas formally joined the United States in 1845, the Texas Navy was incorporated into the U.S. Navy.

The Third Texas Navy was established in 1958, and has since served as an organization dedicated to the preservation of the history of the Texas Navy and its importance to the Republic of Texas.
