The number of snowflakes in the world varies at any one time. More are being created all the time. They are formed by freezing water particles high in the atmosphere. No one knows how many are in the world at one time.

Every snow storm will have a different number of snowflakes. There is not a set number of snowflakes that snowstorms will have.

I've learned that on average there are a little over 1,000,000,000,000 snow flakes in a single snow storm. That is a calculation on average.
