The Owner Guide shows with a 4x4 that all 4 wheels have to be off the ground ( I assume that applies with manual and automatic transmissions ) Use either a wheel lift tow truck with dollys , or a flat bed truck
The owners manual shows Motorcraft Full Synthetic Manual Transmission Fluid for the 5 speed manual transaxle
2003 to 2008 manual trans 5 or 6 speed GL-4 you will need 3 quarts
That info can be found in the owners manual.
AUTO TRANS: 2WD: 2.9 quarts - 4WD: 3.1 quarts. MANUAL TRANS: 1.9 quarts

if its an automatic you put it in through the filler tube or trans dipstick tube if manual on the side of the transmission
Consult the manual that came with the truck. I don't know which motor you have, but that's the kind of stuff I learn before I buy a truck. 5
Driver'side Front of Manual Transmission. there is a plug marked "Oil". It faces towards the radiator, remove this plug and fill trans from there.

The drain bolt is on the bottom of the transmission (should be easy to find) and you refill using the transmission dipstick tube (you need a small diameter funnel. Check owner manual for fluid amount.
