Their are over 6 million spots. One source says 6,469,952 spots. Ub Iwerks adapted the Xerox process precisely because of the huge number of spots and to keep them registering correctly during animation. They only had to keep the pencil drawings accurate and not worry about inkers missing their mark not to mention cost.

∙ 13y agoAccording to Wikipedia, there where 6,469,952 spots total in the movie from all of the dogs. Each of the Dalmatians have 32 spots, however, Pongo has 72, and Perdita 68. There was also the puppy named Odd ball, who was pure white and had no spots.
