Yes they can, they have more then one egg that can be fertilized unlike a women (unless you have twins) but a women (in USA i think) had to babies to 2 different men, a black and a white baby, to 2 different men, its no different then having twins but it was 2 different mens sperm not the one guy, she had 2 eggs, not one that split later, a embryo (already feritsed egg) splits to make identical twins, if something goes wrong, that's wen you get co-joined twins, aka Siamese twins but this lady had 2 eggs, so 2 different spermatozoa go to 2 different eggs, a cat is they same, but it has many eggs.

No. While a cat and dog may attempt to mate each other, it is impossible to produce offspring this way.

I searched this because our 2 lb dog is in heat and we caught her and our tomcat together. When I say together I mean TOGETHER. I was freaking out because I didn't think that would ever happen.

No! If a litter of dog/cat hybrids were concieved, it would be all over the news! So no, it is impossible. First off, you have to realize that cats in heat are of no interest to dogs. Dogs don't consider cats to be possible mating tool, under no circumstances. There is absolutely no reason for them to even try to seriously breed. And second, it is physically impossible for a dog to breed with a cat. They're of such different species, that dog sperm wouldn't have any effect on a cat's egg.
