How many times can a congress person be re-elected?

If you are talking US Congress then there is no limit to the number of terms a congressman (or Senator) can serve, so they can be reelected as many times as they want if they can get the people to vote for them.

There are no limits for the amount of terms a member of the United States Congress can serve. Upon election to office a member can be re-elected as many times as his or her constituents will allow. Every ten years, after the census, the state are re-districted and sometimes the number of districts in a state is reduced, so a Congressman may find that his old district has disappeared and he may have to run against another incumbent to keep his job and clearly both can not be re-elected.

Members of the House are elected to serve two year terms. The requirements of running for office are that an individual is 26 years of age at time of election and is a resident of the state of which he/or she has been elected to serve. The entire House stands for re-election every two years meaning the entire composition of the house "could" change each election cycle.

Members of the Senate are elected to serve a 6 year term and are separated into three classes to ensure that no more than 1/3 of the Senate stands for re-election every election cycle. Thus making the Senate, or the "Upper Chamber" the only chamber of Congress that has continuity between sessions.
