There is no statistics for the number of damaged iPads. Apple would not divulge the failure or repair rate of the iPad, nor would it possible to estimate the number of iPads that are broken and not reported. The only likely statistic you will find is the likelyhood of damaging the iPad if it is dropped from a considerable height onto a hard surface (it is high).
