I personally don't believe you should base trophies by level. I mean, it's just experience gained from many things. I could drop my heroes on a single player map over and over and get experience that way :) If you were curious, I would suggest you check your trophy range and see players that are around the current trophy range.

∙ 10y agoA person with level 44 in clash of clans is expected to be in between silver and gold league . Silver level 2 and above is the recommended level for a level 44 clash of clan player. Although there is no rule book stating this.
