This depends on what you are meaning by "Average".

A typical small generator you can throw in the back of a truck will produce 120 volts, some can do 240.

Building backup generators would produce whatever voltage is needed for that building (if it's a plant that using 480 volts, it will produce 480 volts).

"Large" Wind turbine generators often produce 600-1000 volts; good sized power plants (100MW and up) will typically have a terminal voltage of 10-30kV.

Most small home generators in North America only produce two voltages, 120/240.

What is the electric usage for the typical chlorine generator?

Salt Generators can run on 110/120 volts or 220/240 volts. They have a transformer that steps the current down to 12 volts so the electrical usage is very minimal. None of the manufactures even mention power usage because it is so low; your pool pump is going to draw 100 times more power than a salt generator. So if you are thinking of installing a salt generator don't even make this a consideration because if it cost you $10 a season I would be shocked (no pun intended).

Why the generating station rating is in KW though the rating of generators in KVA?

The volt ampere is a measurement of apparent power, while the watt is a measurement of true power. Apparent power is simply the product of voltage and current; the output of a transformer, therefore, is the product of its rated secondary voltage and its rated secondary current -i.e. the apparent power of the transformer. The power supplied, in watts, is determined by the power factor of the load, so there is little point in rating a transformer in watts, as the designer has no means of knowing the power factor of the load it is to supply.

Why cant human power is not hooked up to our tv's to generate our own power?

You can use human power to run your TV. Use a stationary bike tied to a generator. In the TV show "Living with Ed", Ed has just such a setup to generate power to make his toast. Google Bike Generator Plans to see some ideas on-line.

Rms value defination?

Because alternating current (AC) voltage varies over time, to the positive and negative, an actual AC voltage measurement will not be the same as a DC voltage measurement. For example: 5 volts DC is 5 volts constantly, viewed over time. The average voltage is 5 volts. 5 volts AC (from zero to peak) is not actually 5 volts constantly, but varies between 5 volts and 0 volts over time. The average voltage will not be 5 volts. Using RMS AC values is designed to make AC and DC measurements equivalent, for example 5 volts DC and 5 volts RMS AC are almost identical.

What is a DC generator the same as?

A DC generator, or "dynamo", is very similar to a DC electric motor but cannot be described as "exactly the same as a motor" because a DC generator's designed purpose is not to "use" electricity (which a DC motor does) but to "make", or "produce", electricity.

How many rpm to make 220 ac volts?

This depends on the size of the generator itself. The smaller the generator, the more RPM's will be needed to generate 200 volts in an A/C system.

There are an unlimited number of ways you could make a mini generator. You could use fan power for example.

Can two generator be hook together to make 440 volts?

Not in any way that is easy. Just get a step up transformer from 220 to 440 Volts. Your current will be reduced by about 1/2.

Keeping a Power Generator?

A power generator can be a real life saver in case of an emergency. You might never need that gas generator that you keep in your garage, but it's good to know it's there if you ever get caught in a storm or other disaster. If you do own a power generator, make sure to keep it clean and don't leave it full of fuel indefinitely as this can damage the power generator.

Select A Generator For Home Power Outage?

Having a generator for home power outage can help keep your family comfortable during a power outage. To determine the size of a generator, make a list of the minimum appliances you want to run off the generator. Next, make a list of the devices you'd like to run. You may have to alternate running some appliances such as the vacuum, computer and television for a smaller generator.

How do you make lemon make power?

You have to measure the volts then convert them into energy. +++ Yes but how do you get it to make the volts? You can insert two strips of different metals as electrodes and thus create a very simple cell, but the p.d. (volts) between them will be low, and the available current hence power very low indeed.
