Answer for USA, Canada and countries running a 60 Hz power supply service. 15 amps
A standard two prong outlet in the US carries 110 volts. Actual voltage in your area may vary from below 100 to 140 volts, but these extremes are unusual. Most of the rest of the Americas (North and South) uses the same standard. In Europe, the standard voltage in a "two prong outlet" is 220 to 240 volts. In the US, this voltage is reserved almost exclusively for use by stoves and ovens in the home.
It depends on which country that you live in. European and UK, the household voltage is 230 volts. In North America, the household voltage is 120 volts. Other countries around the world, the blankets that are sold will match the household supply of that country.
In Canada and the United States, wall outlet voltage is standardized at 110 to 120 volts (anywhere in that range is considered "OK"). In Europe - most of the rest of the world, actually - it is standardized at 220 volts.
Depends on what the wattage the clothes iron uses!!! P=VI, so if you know the watts it uses you can you the equation to solve for volts, whiich in return can solve for I or current.i.e. Lets say it uses 1,875W at 120V standard outlet you would take W/V=I which is 15.6Amps.
Answer for USA, Canada and countries running a 60 Hertz supply service.Need to know the voltage of the outlet plug. On a 120 volts outlet there is one hot terminal and on a 240 volt outlet there are two hot terminals.
240v is the standard for household use.

All over Europe we got 230 volts AC and 50 Hz. That is where Germany is situated.
An outlet with too many volts in it or a short.
well I had this same question on my homework, to check how many volts our household objects used up well the answer is Laptop=12-16 Lamp=110 T.V=12 about the same as a laptop because it is blugged to the mains
15 amps
