### What is 50VA?

50 VA means about 50 watts. Transformers usually use VA instead
of watts because a transformer has very little wasted power, and
watts measure power. A 50 va transformer that is 120v. on the
primary side will use about .41 amps at 120 volts. On the secondary
side, (if it's 24 volts) it will support about 2.08 amps.

### How many amps does a led light draw?

Depends on the size of the LED light and the voltage applied. An
example is an LED 24 volt globe light that pulls 8 watts which draw
0.333333 amps. Take an LED 120 volt light bulb draws 12 watts and
will pull 0.1 amps. The same bulb at 240 volts wil draw 0.05 amps.
it really depends on the watts and voltage applied. An average
would be about 0.1 amps.

### How many amps is 24 volts?

Amps and volts are two different things. Think of volts as the
pressure behind the flow and amps as the volume of the flow. The
amps is determined by dividing the voltage by the resistance I=E/R
where I is current or amps, E = voltage, and R is the resistance to
the flow of current. an example 12 volts with a 10 ohm resistance
will produce 1.2 amps 12 volts with 20 ohms resistance will produce
0.6 amps

### How many watts in 1 volt?

In order to figure watts (or power), you have to have 2 values
to go off from. Using Ohms law, you would multiply amperage times
volts to get watts.
For instance a 12 volt circuit drawing 2 amps would consume 24
watts of power (12*2=24).
A 60 watt light bulb powered by 120 volts in a house would draw
.5 amp of current (60/120= .5).
A device in the house drawing 2 amps of current would consume
120 watts of power (2*120 = 240).
A 1500 watt toaster in the house would draw about 12.5 amps.
(1500/120 = 12.5 amps). So a toaster in a house should be on a
separate circuit that is fused for 15 amps.

### How many amps does a 120 Volt irrigation controller draw?

Different controllers have different outputs depending on how
many valves are on each zone. In the device there is a control
transformer. Look for the VA output of the transformer's secondary
side. Mine states 20 VA at 24 volts. To find the amperage use the
following equation. I = W/V. Amps = Watts or VA/Volts. Mine can
output 20 divided by 24 = .83 amps. This amperage will be the
maximum output in amps that the controller can produce to operate
the zone valves. To find the current draw of the primary side of
the transformer divide the transformers VA by 120 volts.
