Answer

It would be a ninth of a square yard. Nine square feet would be

1 square yard.

In general, for "square" measurements, you need to square the

normal ratio. For example, there are 3 feet in a yard, so there are

3 squared, or 3*3 feet (9 feet) in a yard.
