The traditional Roman toga diminished in size as years progressed the earliest were around 6m! If you are making a toga the lenght of cloth required will depend on the size of the individual you want to fit, this link provides some estimates based on size. http://rabbitoriginals.com/toga/
A true toga should be semi-circular. The straight side should be 3-4 time your height. The apex of the curve should be your height above the straight side. For more details see http://how-to-make-a-toga.blogspot.com/
Mostly, however, I think you'd do fine with a large flat sheet (full or queen size).
Toga is a really simple garment, the most known version does not require sewing at all. You can make a toga by wrapping a bed sheet (which is presicely 3 yards long) around your chest and then throwing the hem over your shoulder.
But if you wish to make a more authentic toga, first study which era toga you would prefer to make. You propably need more fabric for the outfit, though.
The football field is 160 feet wide. When converted into yards (dividing 160 by 3, 3:1) one gets 53.3 yards!
1. Randall Cunningham - 4,928 yards 2. Steve Young - 4,239 yards 3. Michael Vick - 3,859 yards
In the NFL the endzone is 10 yards deep from goal line to goalpost and 53 1/3 yards from sideline to sideline
53 1/3 yards wide x 120 yards long.
Looking at the video, Dorsett ran for 99 1/3 yards, but adding the run to the sideline he actually ran for 126 yards exactly since a football field is 53 1/3 yards wide. Half it, add it up and you have your answer bud.
A yard is 3 feet 42 / 3 = 14 yards
3 1/2
9 feet of fabric
It depends on what kind of skirt you want to make! Here are some general fabric measurements (which will vary slightly depending on preference and size):Mini skirt: 1 1/2 yards (44" fabric bolt)A-line skirt: 1 3/4 yards (44" fabric bolt)Short gathered skirt: 1 3/4 yards (44" fabric bolt)Short circle skirt: 1 3/4 yards (44" fabric bolt)Long straight skirt: 3 yards (44" fabric bolt)Long gathered skirt: 3 1/4 yards (44" fabric bolt)
In the USA, fabric is sold by the yard (3 feet). In metres, in most countries.
If you have 6 yards (or 18 feet) of fabric and you need 14 feet (or 4 2/3 yards), you have 4 feet (or 1 1/3 yards) moe than you need.
I'll assume the designer did not purchase 1949 yards of fabric unless it's for Melania Trump. If that's 4 and 1/2, 6 and 2/3, and 9 and 1/4, that's 20 and 5/12 yards.
There are 5.4680665 yards in 5 meters of fabric. 5 meters x 1.0936133 yards/1 meter = 5.4680665 yards 1 meter = 1.0936133 yards
1 yard of fabric or 4/4 of fabric
There are 36 inches in one yard, so 108/36 = 3 yards, therefore Francine need another 9 yards of fabric.
about 3 yards.
2 and 2/3 yards.
