Can a love bird fall in love with another species of bird?

Lovebirds got their name from their tendency to form strong pair bonds. They can certainly form relationships with people. As pets, they live for about 15 years. During that time they can preen their human hosts, as they would a member of their own species. There are nine distinct species of lovebirds. Several have overlapping distributions in the wild. Hybridization between different species of lovebirds has been well-documented. I know of no reports of wild lovebirds forming pair bonds between themselves and non-lovebirds.

How long do Lovebirds live?

Most love birds can live up to the age of nine or ten years old. Some times, they can die of illness or others. If you have a love bird and it lives up to the old age of ten, then you must have cared for it really well and your bird must be healthy.
