A person elected to the House of Representatives stays there for a two year term; then has to run for re-election and be re-elected in order to remain there. There is no limit to the number of times a person a Representative may be re-elected.

∙ 7y agoMembers of the House of Representatives serve two-year terms and are considered for reelection every even year. Senators however, serve six-year terms and elections to the Senate are staggered over even years so that only about 1/3 of the Senate is up for reelection during any election.
