The value of a 1 oz silver coin fluctuates based on several factors, including market conditions and coin rarity. As of today, reputable dealers like Apmex, JM Bullion, and BOLD Precious Metals offer competitive prices ranging from around $20 to $30 per ounce. It's advisable to check current rates with these trusted dealers for the most accurate pricing information.

The US didn't make any 1 oz bullion coins in 1972.

If your coin has a picture of President Eisenhower on the front it's most likely made of copper-nickel, not silver. Please see the Related Question for more information.

The coin is an Eisenhower dollar NOT a Liberty dollar. If the 1972 coin is a uncirculated example it may be worth about $5.00 because the 1971 & 1972 issue coins were not included in the Uncirculated Mint sets sold from the Mint in those years. In general none of the coins made for circulation have any silver and are not worth more than face value. Only proof and uncirculated collectors coins sold from the Mint have premiums. The Mint did offer Proof and Uncirculated

coins in 1971-1976 that were struck in 40% silver.

1921D silver dollar in fine condition?

It depends, this silver dollar, which since you say has a "D" on it, which means it is a Morgan Dollar, is not worth much over its bullion value in this condition. As the price of silver has risen (about $35 per ounce as I write this), the silver value has now exceeded its numismatic value. Keep in mind that a silver dollar is NOT one ounce of silver. The coin is 90% silver and has 0.77343 of silver in them
