Therefore, the initial effect of mixing the two may be to increase the effect of Adderall. However, caffeine is also a diuretic and diuretics have the effect of washing Adderall out of your system. Therefore, drinking any significant amount of diet coke will decrease, if not totally eliminate, the effect… Read More

Mountain Dew and Mello Yello, Big Red and other cream sodas, and Barq's Root Beer all contain caffeine, although Barq's Diet Root Beer and most other brands of root beer do not. The 'Word of Wisdom' requires members NOT to drink hot drinks (coffee or tea) and strong drinks (wine, alcohol & beer). Starting in 1918, official church… Read More

In Coca-Cola there is both sugar and phosphoric acid. Both damage your teeth. Diet Coke, Coke Zero, and Caffeine Free Coke all still have phosphoric acid, which erodes your teeth. The sugars in the non-diet soda will cause bacteria to grow on the teeth, which can release acids that damage the enamel, and cause cavities to form. Brushing/Rinsing is the best thing to do after an occasional soda. Without rinsing/brushing even milk, orange juice, or… Read More
