the judge will make that determination on court day. bring all your check stubs for at least 6 months of work. anytime you go to doctor, make sure they put in writing on the length of time the doctor wants you out of work so you could heal. also the judge will determine if both were At Fault or if the other was at fault and you can request amount for lost wages. but if you had a accident because of negligence on you part, forget it. judge wont grant you lost wages.but if its due to someone causing you to have a accident do your calculations on a sheet that is very readable and neat. highlight your amounts on old stubs for a week or two weeks of pay. so the judge will understand your calculations. some judges are very busy and short on time so have all your ducks in a row. i know. worked for lawyers in the past and police department.if a cop came out and wrote a report, make sure you have a copy of it, if their was any witnesses, take them, or get notorized copies of what witness saw. this will help judge understand if the other person caused accident. have all your bill from doctors because you can get payment of that along with lost wages. best to have all paperwork. judges don't like someone that comes to court without their papers.good luck
