If you live in a big city you would get paid more than in a smaller town. Of course, you'd earn more if you are professional than if you only clean the bathrooms at a restaurant. In a city if you are not a professional, but you have some education, you could earn 300 pesos to 600 pesos a day, or about 30 to 60 US dollars. And if you are a professional you may earn from 4000 to 30000 pesos or more a day, which is 400 to 3000 dollars a day, depending on what you work in. But if you live in a smaller town it's more difficult to earn money, because there isn't as much business. In a small town, if you work for 8 hours, you might earn on average from 50 to 80 pesos, which is like 5 to 8 dollars per day; or, if you're getting paid every two weeks for working 8 hours a day, you might earn about 800 to 2000 pesos, which is about 80-200 dollars. In other cases, people can only earn 500 pesos or less in two weeks (50 dollars or less!) which is poverty. And some only earn 10 to 30 pesos a day, which is extreme poverty!
In my opinion, it is very hard to earn good money in Mexico, even enough to buy a cheap car. If you do earn good money, you must be a very hard worker, and you must have a good education or be a professional.

Mormonism is not particularly popular in Mexico. Catholicism is much more popular. Out of the 112 million residents of Mexico, approximately 1.3 million of these are baptized Mormons, which means about 1% of all Mexicans are Mormons, and about 10% of all Mormons are Mexicans.
