First off, it's Drink, not eat. They would probably drink a lot of water, depending on their size. One story tell about how a dragon ate a sheep stuffed with sulphur, and got so thirsty it drank half a river and exploded.
Actually they do eat like every other normal animal. Water dragons are Omnivors, so they eat Mealworms, crickets and other veggies but they will refuse to eat veggies but its good to make them eat veggies once in a while though they do prefer moving animals/insects. Water dragons are like Bearded dragons but you feed a water dragon until it refuses to eat anymore so keep a schedule so they can get used to their normal feeding.
crickets i believe
If you mean Asiatic Water Dragons, they eat fish, shellfish, and clams. They also eat offerings from nearby villages. They can swim, so that makes it easy to catch fish. They have specially shaped claws so they can shell shellfish and they have strong teeth in the back of tehir mouths that interlock to make it easy to open clams.

Water Dragons diet consists of crickets, small locusts, meal-worms etc. You should NEVER feed strips of meat to an animal that wouldn't normally eat that kind of food. If people can't handle feeding bugs to lizards they shouldn't keep them.
They eat almost any kind of meat ranging in size from small rodents to water buffalo
Komodo dragons eat monkeys and other komodo dragons, but they do not eat fish.
Cartoon dragons eat whatever the cartoonist says they eat.
