Start with an amount that looks right. If it is too much, your dog will leave it (unless you have a bull terrier). Basically just try and try again until your dog is happy. I hope I helped, Shirdiemere.

This would depend upon the size of your Golden Retriever, as they vary greatly in their bone structure.

All dog food bags have guidelines on them as to roughly how much your dog should eat per day.

A better indication of how much your Golden should be eating is to check and see if she is overweight.

This can be done by looking at them, and by feeling their ribs.

Since Golden Retrievers can be prone to hip dysplasia, you do not want them to get overweight.

i feed my golden puppy 1 cup of biscuit for breakfast and lunch. for dinner i give her 2 slices of dog meat about 1 - 1.5cm and a hand full of biscuit. if she sits around her bowl anytime during the day and its empty i give her a little more

Until your puppy reaches 1 year of age,I recommend feeding him or her 5-6 cups of premium puppy food each day. As your puppy reaches the adult age, I recommend that he or she eats approximately 9 cups of premium adult food each day.
