Answer byfeatherdepends on sqare footage of house lights insulation other things but a 2000sqft home should have a 5ton unit installation and unit cost varies but you can get it for $3500 now alittle common sense you could go to where they sell air con. and buy a 5 ton gas PAC unit which means you have gas and air con on roof some people only have electric and you would buy a different unit so back to the unit if they will sell you one you could pick it up for $1600dollars hire a crane about $125 dollars lift of old unit crane man will get rid of it for you lift new unit on to frame and hook up it is that easy you first shut off gas valve should be on roof at unit then disconnect gas very important shut off ELETRICAL at main breaker panel go to roof and disconnect eletrical off old unit on new unit hook up important after you complete job take off side panels off new unit startt up unit run a few minutes blows out residue
