How much does a lawer make a year?

It can range from 0$ if you are an unemployed lawyer to millions if you are a partner at a big firm or win a huge lawsuit. On average maybe in the $40k to $100k for run of the mill attorneys. If you are at a big law firm it starts at $160k but you work 70+ hours and you are on call everyday. Work Fridays, weekends, etc. This is all generalizing of course.

lawyers fresh out of law school make anywhere from 30-160k/year. it seems like the average is close to 65.

experienced attorneys may make more.

parters at big law firms can make a million or more per year, but there are very few of those.

That will depend on the school and the job they get. Many starting attorneys make less than $40,000. But graduating from a high ranking law school and getting a good job could get as much as $100,000
