∙ 11y agoThere isn't a set price for Birth Control Pills. Some are more expensive than others, since some are brand name and some or generic. If you have insurance, you can greatly reduce the cost of the pill! My box of Yasmin runs for about $50, I'm assuming...but with my insurance, I got it for, literally 4 bucks. I wouldn't suggest taking my word for it 100% and you should actually talk to your doctor. I'm sure they will be more than willing to tell you about prices and which will be best for you :)
You may be able to get it free from Planned parenthood clinics.

∙ 12y agoThat really depends on what your insurance covers and what type of birth control you're getting. If you don't have insurance, you can get most birth control for a reduced price based on your income. Some states also offer special coverage for the cost of family planning services for families at or below 250% of the federal poverty level. Call your local family planning office to see if you might be eligible. Many employers now cover birth control, since it is cheaper and more convenient for them than maternity leave.

∙ 11y agoThis will depend upon your insurance and your income. If you have insurance, most plans will cover prescription contraception so you only have to pay the co-pay ($5-$50 per refill, depending upon the specific contraception prescribed and the plan). If you don't have insurance, you can still pay out of pocket for generic versions of the pill that are just as effective as the name brands advertising on TV; the cost for this should be under $100 per month. If this is too much for you, I would suggest contacting Planned Parenthood - they will help you find affordable birth control pills.
