Depends if you hire a painter or do it yourself. Prices for hiring painters differ greatly. Could be $700-$1,000 or it could be $2,500-$4,000 Is it a larger company or a one or 2 man show? Do you need furniture moved and covered? Do you need patching? Do you want separate primer coat or all in one? How many colors? How many coats? Do you want to do the walls and ceilings? Doing it yourself is easier on your wallet but you will find yourself working very hard. The projected cost for painting the inside of your home is based on materials needed. Paint , rollers and brushes, trays, tape, putty for holes and a step stool if you need one will run you between $300 & $600...Depending on the type of paint.
The square footage of floor space within a house is irrelevant to an exterior paint estimate. Here's what the contractor will do.
Estimate the prep.
No scraping, no repair, no cost. Pressure wash, yes, always. Will priming be required after the pressure wash? Calculate the masking time for paint spraying around windows, doors, plants and the neighbors' cars.
Estimate the square footages:
First measure the dimensions of all exterior walls and calculate their individual sq.ft. On walls with a roof pitch, measure the lower portion as a rectangle and then the pitch as an imaginary rectangle using width times the height, then divided by two. Add all measurements up and subtract 10% for windows and doors.
If the foundation is to be painted, measure that into sq. ft.
For eaves measure the run by the depth and come up with sq. ft.
Will gutters and fascia be painted?
Will doors and windows be painted?
Now for the paint estimate.
Assume about 200 sq.ft. per gallon of paint coverage on wall surfaces. They are not smooth like drywall and have lapped edges.
For closed eaves: Measurement divided by 250 sq. ft. per gallon.
For open eaves: Measurement divided by 125 sq. ft. per gallon.
Foundation: Measurement divided by 250 sq. ft. per gallon.
Gutters and fascia: 2 gallons w/touch-up left behind
Doors and Windows: 2 gallons w/touch-up left behind
Masking materials about $50.00
And there you have it save the labor and tool rental/purchase cost.
Happy calculating, it's really the only way.
To do it yourself this should be a fairly accurate "how to" estimate.
And without a picture of your house in its current condition, what would you expect?
If you use Dutch Boy paint on a smooth surface, you can get 400 square feet per gallon.
Probably alot of money! I have a 2100 sq ft house and it is expensive!
it all depends on how expensive the paint is
Nobody that I know of sells paint in pints. A half litre is about $6.95 at stores I go to. House paint ranges from $25 - 40 per gallon.
We got an estimate of 1200 for a roughly 3,000 square foot house
It depends on the region, the design of the house, the type of paint used and how hungry the painter is. For a rough estimate, determine the amount of paint neede and multiply that times two to four to get labor cost.
A half litre can cost as little as $4.95. -A gallon can of good quality house paint can cost as much as $59.

The Stafford terrier would cost $300 to $1300
You can use one for the other, you just wouldn't. People generally want their cars to shine. House paint doesn't. Most house paint is latex which doesn't stick to metal real well. Car paint on houses would cost too much and soak in too much. Cheap car paint can be $50 a gallon or more and it only get more expensive.
Commercial-scale turbines that are 2 MW cost around $3.5 million. WOW! A house hold horizontal wind turbine would cost around £1300 while the vertical ones are much cheaper.
They sell for about $800-$1300 Dollars.
