A roof that is 10 x 20 has an area of 200 square feet. The cost to have this size roof shingled is approximately 1,800.00.
The only difference in the installation between the 30 year and the 50 year shingles is that the 50's are heavier and a little more work to hump up onto the roof and to cut. If your contractor is trying to charge you more then 10% over the price difference in the shingles, find a new contractor. They install EXACTLY the same way.
If you have cut up roof you will need just under 10% for starters and ridge cap. (3 tab) Example a 60 square roof would need 5-6 squares. Lower pitched roofs would of course require less.
Some people can, but most can not. It would be best not to try walking it without roof brackets and planking.
A 12/12 is 45 degrees. If you set a 45 degree piece of wood on the roof it should be level.
A "square" of shingles is 10 ft x 10 ft totaling 100 sq ft. So, the amount you will need would be 60ft x 30ft = 1800 sq ft/100 sq ft = 18 sq Good luck.
6 to 12,000 dollars depending on the work involved. Materials for a complete roof replacement run about 6,000 alone.
The most common shingles (three tab), come three packs per 100 square feet or a 10 foot by 10 foot area. The timberline shingles can come in 4 packs per square, and high end shingles can be 5 or 6 packs per sguare.

You might choose to use a handyman service rather than a roofing service when repairing your roof. The potential savings can be anywhere from 10% up to 80% depending on the type of shingles and how much is being replaced. If there are just a few shingles to be replaced, you may even consider a DIY project.
You will need to get 10 square of shingles, 3 bundles usually equal one square but it depends on if you get 30 year 40 year 50 years shingles ect. talk to your seller, but you will need ten square

You need to estimate the size of the roof in square feet.A bundle of shingles will cover 33 square feet, so divide the square footage of the roof by 30and that's how many bundles of shingles you'll need. The extra 10% will end up getting used as starters and the cap.Shingling a roof isn't difficult, complete directions are printed on every bundle. But if you've never shingled a roof before you might want to pick up a couple of extra bundles. You can always return them after.
A traditional shingled roof lasts about 10 - 15 years. You can get much more bang for your buck with a corrugated roof. They are much more durable long term
That really depends on several different variables including the square footage of the roof itself and the size / type of the tiles being used. Most of the time when buying roofing tiles / shingles it will state on the packaging how many square's it will cover. It should also state the "square footage" covered as well. So once you have your square footage you can then figure out how many tiles / shingles it will take to cover your roof. Don't forget to add 10 to 15% for waste in your calculations.
It depends on the size of the roof over the house, the damage underlying the roof and the materials, as well as quality of labor used to replace the roof. Therefore, the cost could run anywhere from $5,000 to $15,000 depending on the above factors. I just got a roof put on my house for practically free. The Insurance company was trying to drag me through the dirt and I thought there was no hope, but then a friend gave me the Number to the people who done her roof. I called and through the whole thing I only dealt with one person, My roof looks great, and it was so easy. So I hope this helps you out. CDL Renovations 678-682-0540 ask for Joe Lucas.
