i live in Glasgow and i went last June, we did everything you could imagine when we went we did the 2 day trip to miami and went to every Disney park, we also ate out everynight and done loads of shopping, We took $2000 which is like £1800 in our money which was just for spending money, We lived in a villa in the Kissimmee area which cost another £2000 for 4 of us, however you can stay in places like the quality inn plaza on international drive for like £100 per night which is the going rate in Florida for somewhere to stay i would reccommend that hotel as i have also been there before. As for your tickets into disney if you buy them when you are in florida you will be ripped off in our money it is like £60 per day per park where as i got my tickets from the disney shop is east kilbride shopping centre you just go on to the disney website the uk version and check the prices, my disney tickets for 2 weeks plus fast pass (you que in diffrent lines to everyone else and dont have to wait to get on rides) were only £210 which is amazing rather that £60 per day when you are there so i suggest buying them over here. As for your flights i would definetly shop around as we went to thomsons, flew first class had extra baggage allowance and for JUST ME it cost me £1000 just for my return flight, whereas if you try diffrent travel agents see which will give you the best deal. Dont go in at Christmas/april or june as this is the most expensive i would go in like march or may or september as the weather is the same and so is everything you can do but it can be a lot cheaper in the prices. As for eating out it is very cheap, there are hundreds of restaurants and millions of fast food places too, what you doing for getting around?-i suggest hiring a car, you can do this from any airport when you get there or you can do it from the travel agent, we got a deal from allamo and we got a jeep hummer!! it was only £240 for 2 weeks but if its only 2 of you then just get a small car it will be rather cheap as this will save on taxi fares, parking in disney is £12 per day. if you are going shopping i would recommend the prime outlets these are designer stores all the real stuff at half prices, also the premier outlets which is a bit more upmarket from prime but sells all the same stuff these places are great. the florida mall is also good and so is mall of mullenia, defo go to the m+m shop you will love it! and defo go to bahama breeze for dinner (the celeb hangout but with great suprisingly cheap meals and drinks) i met vanessa anne hudgens and Zac Efron last year in there! also places like the longhorn steakhouse are a must, stay away from the ponda rosa buffet restraunts theyre a bit em discusting!) good luck and hope your holiday goes great but i would deof start saving up as you want to take too much money rather than not enough.
