There are 2 possible types of rotors available for this model. They are about $30 and $50, to resurface the rotor, it would cost about $40. So if you need to work on them, might just be safer to replace them.

Where is the timing belt on 2001 Cherokee sport and how easy is it to replace?

The timing belt is not a belt on a Cherokee sport. It's a chain. It's located under a housing on the crank shaft. In order to replace it you will need to remove the alternator, the water pump, the a/c compressor, the radiator and the engine fans. An experienced mechanic can get it done in about 3 to 6 hours.
