$800-$900 at a shop. i just had it done in wilmington nc
My 1997 318i has an external oil leak from the head gasket, I was quoted $1200.00 to $1400.00 if I also have to get the valves done. A little under $1000.00 if not.
Just had it done on my 1998 Venture - It cost about 900.00
JUST HAD BBOTH DONE IT COST $1336.OO
If you have it done it will be at least $1,000.
It all depends upon where you take it. Take the number of hours labor times the labor rate of where you take it. This is how much labor. Add to this the cost of the head gasket kit and this will give you the total cost. I had one done and it was 5 hours labor at $78 an hour and it was $230 for the head gasket kit which included new bolts and the gasket. This was on a 1997 Ford Escort. Most shops can replace the head gasket. Call and get an estimate as the price will vary according to where you take it.
NO DO NOT DO THIS. A BLOWN HEAD GASKET WILL LEAK ANTIFREEZE. CAUSING THE ENGINE TO OVERHEAT. I AM NOT SURE HOW MUCH IT WILL COST TO BE DONE BY A PROFFESIONAL.
It will cost about 1000 dollars to about 1500 dollars to repair a blown head gasket depending on the type of vehicle you own. This can also vary by location and damage done to the vehicle.
yep i have done on my vectra no popbz
Probably because you have a blown head gasket. Get a compression check done to be sure.
the water pumps are from about 8 to 30 dollars do it yourself its not worth paying to get done you have to take the fan off and its right behind it make sure you get a gasket too
I currently paid around $1100 for head gasket repair on a 1999 Pontiac Montanna. You might get it done cheaper if you don't go to a dealer.
I was told by a mechanic $30 for gaket. $50 for labor. I think this could be done with $20 for gasket $40 for labor
Just had this done (Feb 2011) at a local Ford dealership. The cost with an oil cahnge was $613.00.
TO SEE IF IT IS YOUR HEAD GASKET DO A PRESSURE CHECK. TAKE TO A RADIATOR SHOP AND THEY CAN CHECK IT FOR YOU NO CHARGE......AND IF IS YOUR HEAD GASKET THE PARTS ARE CHEAP BUT ITS THE LABOR THAT WILL COST YOU......(6HR JOB). I HAD IT DONE......
Somewhere around 500$ if done at a garage.
It all depends on where you get the work done. It can cost anywhere from $1200.00 - $3000.00. Depends on the hourly labour rate.
If you're doing the job yourself, and have all the necessary tools, the cost will be only that of the gasket and maybe some PermaSeal. You can check Autozone's website for the gasket price. If you're having it done at a shop, you're probably looking at several hundred dollars.FriPilot
i could rebuild your head gasket for 240 pounds depending on whether it requires the head skimming or not[cost goes higher poss around 300 if you require this done] this depends on where your situated aswell as I'm in Manchester
Some very old cars can be done in an hour and parts are less than $50 Many modern cars will cost in excess of $2000
should be around $ 1200. I just done it at Bimmer shop .
Head gasket is done!
