How much does a bowl of noodles cost from the canteen during Japanese Occupation?

Depends what shoe size you are. In Japan, the size of your shoe depends on everything, especially shoes. If you want to buy some noodles, then you pay more if you have big feet and less if your feet are small. Of course, if you want cheap noodles, then it helps to a) steal them or b) know the person selling them very very well. Good answer? Yes, I was spamming.

How much is a bowl of noodles in school canteen in 1970?

In the late 80s, I recall shopping for noodles costing me anywhere from 50 cents to $1 per dozen for the ramen type noodles. Price depended on whether it came with or without a cup for microwaving (and dehydrated vegetables, besides the soup stock). At the same time my weekly grocery bill was about $15 to $25 for two adults, depending on whether or not we splurged on food (steak, swordfish, shellfish and other "goodies" would boost our budget). Today, based upon my weekly food budget, I'd say, though everything else has skyrocketed in price, noodles certainly haven't gotten that much more expensive. Though that same dollar will buy me only about 6 ramen without the cup (or the vegetables).A pound of pasta noodles used to cost then about 25 cents, sometimes on sale for as little as ten cents, and now costs $1 to $1.50.
